Then take 1 capsule (2 mg) after each subsequent loose stool for as long as the diarrhea lasts. Never take more than 8 capsules (16 mg) in one day.For chronic (long-term) diarrhea:Start with 2 capsules (4 mg) per day. This dose should be adjusted until you have solid stools 1 to 2 times per day. This is usually achieved with 1 to 6 capsules (2 to 12 mg) per day. You should never take more than 8 capsules (16 mg) in one day.Read the package leaflet before use in children.Do not use in children up to and including 7 years of age.
